Looking for something to do this week? Well look no further. Here are five tech events in Austin that you don't want to miss out on (one of them even offers free booze). 

The EdTech Design Process From Idea to Implementation, May 18 at 6 p.m.

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of EdTech and EdTech Action are holding an event showcasing what it takes to build a successful edtech company from scratch. They’re even hosting their very own ‘Shark Tank.’

Voice of Hair Case Study: From Idea to 56,000 People in 9 Months, May 19 at 6:30 p.m.

The founder of Voice of Hair will talk about how she made her company into a success in the face of multiple, and very common, startup problems. She’ll also speak about how she managed to grow her Instagram community to have over 56K followers in under 9 months.

Writing @Rackspace: Learn Python the Hard Way, May 20 at 6:30 p.m.

If you’re a coder, head on down to Rackspace to write some Python. Every month this group meets to work through coding exercises. The idea is that someday you’ll be able to code your very own app. 

Atlas Wearables + Hardware Investor Pitch Tips, May 21 at 6 p.m.

Want to check out some of the newest stuff going on in wearable tech? There’ll be lots of giveaways, and you’ll get to hear from Atlas Wearable’s co-founder (who also helped design the nanotube reinforced material Kevlar).

General Assembly ATX Happy Hour, May 22 at 5:30 p.m.
