Austin-based Knowingly Corp announced today it has acquired the website and content library of recently defunct tech news site Gigaom. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gigaom had shut down suddenly in March of this year.

“We are excited to be a chapter of the Gigaom story and look forward to continuing its mission of ‘humanizing the impact of technology,’” Knowingly Founder Byron Reese said in a statement.

Knowingly plans to relaunch the site on August 15, 2015.

Om Malik founded GigaOm in 2006 to produce tech-related news.

Founded in 2014 by Reese, Knowingly offers a number of websites and services, including iforetold.com, where people can log predictions about the future, and Correctica, a tool which catches errors in documents and websites that spell checkers miss.
