Texas held on to its title as the second best state in the country for business, according to CNBC’s 2015 rankings. The Lone Star State beat out every state in the country except Minnesota – which isn’t too shabby.

Every year CNBC ranks the 50 states according to 60 different business and economic metrics. This year, Texas scored 1,580 points out 2,500 – which sounds like a low D, but compared to other states it’s actually pretty good. California, for example, received just 1284 points and was noted for it’s high costs and heavy regulation.

Texas received high marks in the study for its economy (#2), access to capital (#6) and, inexplicably, was ranked as having the best infrastructure in the country. Tell that last one to somebody stuck on I-35 on his or her way home today.

The state was held back in the rankings for education (#28), quality of life (#33) and the cost of doing business (#21). You can’t win them all, I guess.

The top 5 states in order from first to fifth were: Minnesota, Texas, Utah, Colorado and Georgia.
