This week is bound to feel long after the holiday weekend. Luckily, there are lots of great tech events this week, so we've rounded them up here.

1. The Bug Business: How to Start a New Industry, July 6 at 6:30 p.m.

For those that are not familiar, the topic of eating bugs continues to grow every year. A variety of products from wholesale edible bugs, granola, crackers, and even cricket beer is being produced right here in Central Texas. Come join the Food + Tech Austin discussion about some of The Bug Business.

2. Cowork Morning in Cedar Park, July 8 at 9 a.m.

Bring your work, ready for networking, a good cuppa coffee and conversation. Joel's has great coffee, good chocolates and wi-fi. Pub style and lounge seating. Lots of restaurants in the area if you want to lunch out afterwards. Come when you can, stay as long as you want.

3. Prospecting Boot Camp by Sales Elite, LLC, a Sandler Training Company, July 8 at 9 a.m.

This Prospecting Boot Camp is an interactive sales workshop designed to produce results, learn effective prospecting / cold-calling techniques and overcome call reluctance. Participants will learn the no pressure prospecting call and develop a customized approach geared to their business, how to get past gatekeepers, when and how to leave voicemail, how to overcome stalls and objections, and deal directly with the causes of call reluctance.

4. Austin 2.0: Using Devices, Data, and Analytics to Advance Austin, July 8 at 5:30 p.m.

Austin is an amazing city, but no city is perfect. How can we use technology and data to make Austin a better, safer, cleaner, more sustainable, more prosperous, and more enjoyable place to live, work, learn, and play—and to serve as a model smart city for others to emulate?

5. An Evening with the Twitter Dev & Platform Team, July 8 at 6 p.m.

Hear about building better apps with Twitter developer tools and network with peers in the tech space.

Have an amazing week Austin and make sure to check out our events calendar for all the other tech events happening around town.
