906 East 5th Street

Why it’s a great location: You know how there are some locations that just ARE great locations? Ya, this is one of them. The office is blocks from just about everything in downtown Austin.

Closest bar: The Wright Bros Brew & Brew is a stone’s throw from your new desk.

98 San Jacinto Blvd

Why it’s a great location: Anywhere TheCHIVE puts its HQ is a good location. On top of that, it’s just a good location. I mean, there’s only so many places in the United States where you can get pooped on by millions of bats without walking more than a block.

Closest bar: There’s a bar in the Four Seasons, but having had the unfortunate experience of drinking there, I’d recommend heading a couple of blocks up to Brass Bar or HandleBar. Or, just drink at one of theChive's two in-office bars complete with their own brand of beer

800 Brazos Street

Why it’s a great location: If you have to work late on a Friday you can still stumble down to 6th Street and participate in the revelry.

Closest bar: If you don’t feel like walking the two blocks down to 6th Street, the CU29 Cocktail Bar is a little more upscale and across the street.

504 Lavaca Street

Why it’s a great location: It’s in the very heart of downtown, and yet still only blocks from the Barton Creek Trail.

Closest bar: There are tons of options within a couple of blocks, but Departure Lounge and the Austin Ale House are probably the closest.

901 S. Mopac

Why it’s a great location: You can spend your lunches running along the Barton Creek Trail or swimming in the Barton Creek Pool.

Closest bar: You’re basically on top of Texas Land & Cattle, but just across the river is Deep Eddy Cabaret — which is hard to beat.
