On-demand valet service app Luxe is officially operating in Austin.
Luxe is currently available in the Downtown area with plans for further expansion. Luxe costs $4 per hour with a maximum of $16 per day. Overnight parking is an extra $10.
"I'm excited to be launching in Austin, a city that I've lived in and fell in love with," CEO Curtis Lee said in a statement. "Austin is one of the most progressive cities in the US and constantly growing. With the increasing population and car culture of the city, we hope to solve the challenge of finding parking."
To request a valet, simply tap the button on the app. A Luxe valet in a blue polo shirt or jacket will meet you when you arrive at your destination and then park your car. They can return it wherever you request it, even if it's in a different location from where you started. Luxe also offers additional services like car washing and refueling.
To celebrate its arrival in Austin, Luxe is offering a $20 credit to all users that sign up using the code "DONTMESS" (with Texas, of course).
Austin is the company's seventh market since its inception in October 2014. Luxe is currently available in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Boston and New York City with plans to expand to Philadelphia and Washington D.C. later this year.
