5. Silvercar, $5.75 million, August 21

Bio: Silvercar is the airport car rental experience reimagined for you, the connected business traveler. They offer a fleet of rentable Audi A4s.
 
News: The young company completed a $14 million funding round in September 2014, led by Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin and Velos Partners, adding to $18 million raised in earlier rounds.

4. Able Lending, $6 million, August 25

Bio: Able is a small business loan platform offering small business loans up to $500,000 at low rates.
 
News: With the funding, the small business loan platform ended its local pilot period, expanding its outreach to entrepreneurs nationwide.

3. Iconixx, $10 million, August 

Investors: The round was co-led by Harbert Venture Partners and S3 Ventures with participation from existing investor Ballast Point Ventures.
 
Bio: Iconixx Software is a complete solution provider for Incentive Compensation Management.
 
News: Company founder and CEO, Derrik Deyhimi, said the money will fuel Iconixx's accelerated growth.

1. Illumitex, $16 million, August 

Investors: The round was led by WP Global Partners, and NEA, Morgan Creek Capital, Mousse Partners, Apex Venture Partners, Jimmy Treybig, Larry Abrams, DMWMDW Interests and Syngenta Ventures also participated in the round.
 
Bio: Illumitex has transformed traditional LED design with the creation of LED lighting that emits a uniform, highly precise beam directly from the source.
 
News: Illumitex was recently named to the Austin A-List, an honor be- stowed by the city's Chamber of Commerce upon the area's top 12 most promising startups.

1. TreeHouse, $16 million, August 

Investors: The round was led by Garrett Boone
 
Bio: TreeHouse works to improve the performance, health, and sustainability of homes. 
 
News: The $16 million round will be used for store openings in new markets, technology development, and an e-commerce launch. It will also help fund the opening of a product incubator.
