LiveOps seeks 5,000 contractors

After moving its headquarters to Austin in July and onboarding 10 major new clients, the virtual call center platform is seeking 5,000 more independent contractors for its cloud-based customer support software. LiveOps has also hired a new Vice President of Marketing, Baker Johnson, who previously held positions at Zenoss, Affiniscape and Dell. [press release/press release]

RunTitle raises $7M

This online database was founded in 2012 to cash in on mineral ownership data. According to an SEC filing, five investors have taken that bet to the tune of $7 million. RunTitle is still seeking an additional $1 million in this Series B funding round. [SEC form D filing]

GameSalad pivots to paid model

The company behind this video game design software has abandoned its freemium model under its new CEO, Stephen Nichols. Previously, it was possible to use GameSalad for free until the publishing stage, but the company found many of its users were hobbyists with no intention of publishing their games. Consequently, the basic version of the software is now $19 per month and $199 per year. The pro edition is $29 per month and $299 per year. [Austin Business Journal]

Ordoro raises $1.5M

Ordoro Inc. has raised $1.5 million in a funding round led by Belgium-based E-Merge to market its inventory and order fulfillment tracking software to more partners. [Austin Business Journal]
