Mozido just hired HP’s head of printers and PCs as its new CEO
Mozido announced late last week that Todd Bradley is joining the company as its new CEO. Bradley is the former vice president of Hewlett-Packard’s printing and personal systems unit, a $60 billion annual business.

Founder Michael Liberty said Bradley (pictured below) was an obvious choice.

“His experience in building successful organizations, especially in the mobile handheld space and within emerging markets like China, enables him to contribute immediately to Mozido’s success in delivering digital commerce and payment solutions globally using mobile phones,” he said in a statement.

Bradley has also held senior roles at GE Capital Corp., The Dun & Bradstreet Corp., Gateway Corp., FedEx Corp. and palmOne, where he was credited with leading a notable turnaround.

The news of his hire is the latest in a series of major global expansions for Mozido in Russia, China, India and Africa. The mobile fintech software developer targets two billion adults worldwide who are “unbanked,” meaning they handle their money without the structure of a financial institution.

Most of these people have cell phones, though, and that’s where the opportunity lies for Mozido.

“The prospects for additional growth are tremendous,” Bradley said in a statement.

Mozido’s most recent expansion in Russia and China facilitates cross-border trade through TradeEase, a tool for online merchants, under Mozido’s PayEase subsidiary. The platform is designed to capitalize on Russian consumer demand for products from Chinese merchants.

Mozido has raised $275 million in institutional capital in the past two years and has a combined 1.5 billion subscribers to its payment platforms.
