Klever Logic Closes a $3M Round to Scale and Expand Team

Parking solutions technology company Klever Logic closed a $3 million round of financing today, led by serial entrepreneurs and angel investors Sam Goodner and Dan Sharplin.

Sharplin, who founded and acted as CEO of Site Controls, will come on board as chairman, and Goodner, the founder and former CEO of Catapult Systems, will join as president at Klever Logic.

Austin Ventures, Trellis Partners, G51 Capital and 186k Ventures also contributed to the round.

“Parking is something people don’t think about until they have to, but Klever Logic saw an opportunity to elevate parking into a mobile experience for both parking guests and operators,” said Goodner in a statement. “It was clear to us why Klever Logic has such a loyal customer base, they’ve done an outstanding job creating a robust, yet elegant parking ecosystem that covers all areas of parking, and we are eager to help expand and scale the company.”

The funding will be used for scaling, marketing, streamlining operations and bringing on additional key hires, including Emily Lynch, who will join as their VP of marketing, and Wes Vinecombe as their VP of operations.

Based in Austin, Klever Logic is the developer of a cloud-based platform for parking and valet software services for operators to manage their parking operations.

They first launched Flash Valet in 2011, which allows users to make credit card mobile payments and tips via an app, request their vehicles by phone or text, and provides parking operators with an SaaS that tracks vehicles in real time, manages employee attendance and more.

With the success of Flash Valet, Klever Logic has since rolled out FlashPARCS for gated communities.

Collectively, their valet and gated parking solutions have supported over 800 locations across 63 cities internationally, parking over 1.5 million cars monthly. Some of their existing markets include Los Angeles, Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia and New York City.

With the funding, the company also hopes to expand into new verticals, including Class A office buildings, hospitals, airports and event venues.

The team will also be building out their marketing and operations teams and are actively recruiting six regional sales manager positions.
