OutboundEngine completes acquisition and integration of ReadyChat

In 2015, OutboundEngine acquired Toronto-based ReadyChat, an online live chat service specific to real estate and mortgage companies. This week, OutboundEngine announced they have finalized the acquisition and integration of the chat platform, which had operated in stealth until now. In addition to the new service, OutboundEngine also unveiled a company rebranding that reflects the new platform. [Press Release]

 

Mythic raises $9M Series A

Austin startup Mythic, formerly known as Isocline, announced on Wednesday the closing of a $9 million Series A round. The funding, led by capital from DFJ, will be used to grow their engineering team and prep for a market launch in mid-2018. The company develops AI-enabled software and chips that can turn any device into a learning platform. [Built In Austin]

 

DOSH raises $2.3M seed round

DOSH, the company behind a free app that automates cashback offers, special offers, exclusive invite codes and more, announced on Tuesday the closing of a $2.3 million seed round. The funding will be used to strengthen the Dosh platform and drive merchant expansion and customer acquisition during the company’s launch. To date, the company has raised more than $6 million. DrillingInfo collects another $4M from previously raised round

According to an SEC filing earlier this week, DrillingInfo has added an additional $4 million to a previously raised funding round first secured in 2015. The Austin startup has grown to over 190 employees. [FormDs]

 

Press Cleaners expands to four new markets

The on-demand laundry and dry cleaning startup Press Cleaners announced on Monday that it is expanding to four new markets, including Oklahoma City, Lubbock, San Antonio and Dallas-Fort Worth. In each new market, Press will enlist a local business to do laundry and dry-cleaning as a “virtual franchise,” while the Austin startup handles billing, marketing and other back-end operations for that market. Turnkey opens offices in Phoenix, Panama City and Oregon

Following this month's news of a $21 million funding round, Turnkey Vacation Rentals announced this week that it has opened local offices in Phoenix, Panama City and two offices in Oregon to support Willamette Valley and North Oregon coast and the Bend and Sun River areas. Last year, Turnkey opened offices in Fort Lauderdale, Big Bear, Puget Sound and Maine. [Press Release]

 

HelloGbye launches new travel app

Austin-based HelloGbye launched its new travel booking app on Tuesday. With the app, users can speak or type their travel plans into their device and receive an answer within 30 seconds on questions ranging from hotel availability and personal recommendations to itinerary changes and more. Fasten, Basket and Walmart offer exclusive shopping experience in Austin

The shoppings savings app Basket announced this week a partnership with Fasten and Walmart available only in Austin. Fasten will offer free roundtrip rides to Basket app users who select Walmart to buy their shopping list items from. [Basket]
