Open Gov & Civic Tech Meetup: Lightning Talks, April 17 at 6:45 p.m.
Open Austin will host its monthly meetup at the Terrazas Branch Library on Monday night. Speakers will include: David Edmonson from the Austin Technology Alliance, Patrick McDonnell speaking on tactical urbanism versus open source, Sabine Romero will provide an update on the government partnership, Andy Nelson will speak on open leadership and Sarah Morris will discuss fake news, web literacy and internet health.

Join General Assembly Tuesday evening for a free info session on their UX Design Immersive course. Meet the GA team and potential classmates, get an overview of the curriculum and the course and learn about the perks that come with being a GA student to see if this course is right for you.
Campfire Networking at The Incubator for Innovation and Impact, April 19 at 4 p.m.
The Incubator for Innovation and Impact at Concordia University and Tech Ranch will host a campfire networking event. The event will begin with an introduction to the programs offered at the new incubator followed by a structured teaming activity that facilitates connection.
Post-Enterprise.js Drinkup at Gingerman, April 20 at 5:30 p.m.
EnterpriseJS is headed back to Austin for an evening of food, drinks, and Node at the HomeAway downtown office on 5th Street. Speakers from PayPal, XO Group, and HomeAway will share their stories, experience, and wisdom around Node.js for the enterprise. If you can’t make it to Enterprise.js, meet the group at Gingerman at 9 p.m. for drinks.
Hiking with Geeks: Cosplay Cleanup, April 22 at 10 a.m.
Hiking With Geeks will host a 3-4 mile cleanup hike on Saturday morning. The kicker? Come in costume! Be as creative or as simple as you'd like. Star Trek? Game of Thrones? Movie? TV show? It's your choice! Just come and be fun and nerdy. They’ll meet at the Lady Bird Lake trailhead located near the Zach Theatre parking lot.
