Cupboards filled with snacks, team happy hours and beer Fridays are relatively easy perks for startups to offer. What's not so easy for startups to include in their benefits package is 401(k) matching.

Still, a handful of Austin startups has made it happen. Below are seven growing local tech companies with contributing retirement benefits.

With over one million users to its site every month, CreditCards.com provides an online marketplace for consumers looking to find credit cards with the lowest interest rates, top reward programs and cash-back offers. The Austin startup provides 401(k) employer contributions of three percent, which is fully vested immediately, as well as full medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance.

Founded in 2010, Jobs2Careers has grown to a team of more than 70 employees. Their platform is a go-to for over 20 million job seekers and offers a pay-per-click pricing model for recruiters looking to post positions. The company’s benefits package includes a 401(k) plan with three percent automatic employer contribution.

Since 1991, Volusion has helped businesses of all sizes develop an online store, with features like SEO-assistance, website design and integration tools that connect their clients' stores to eBay and Amazon. Employees can take advantage of benefits from Volusion like two days off dedicated to volunteering, flexible PTO, on-site chair massages and company matched 401(k) plans.

AdAction partners with brands and app developers to create marketing campaigns over mobile apps. Founded in 2012 and with offices in both Denver and Austin, AdAction provides 401(k) matching plus a flexible work schedule and liberal PTO policy.

World First helps people and businesses send and receive money in local currencies. With 600 employees worldwide, the company offers perks like free breakfasts, bi-annual company parties, an annual discretionary bonus and 401(k) contributions.

Supporting food companies, retailers and restaurant chains, Alchemy Systems develops custom virtual safety trainings and communications and performance programs for production workers across 20,000 locations. They offer employees tuition reimbursement, company-paid life insurance — and, you guessed it, a matching 401(k) plan.

With its headquarters overlooking Town Lake, theCHIVE/Resignation Media’s perks list is long. All employees enjoy an open vacation policy, two stocked bars inside the office, regularly scheduled good eats from some of Austin’s tastiest spots and most importantly, a 401(k) company matching plan that starts after six months of employment.
