Continuum Analytics raises $10M

According to a Wednesday SEC filing, Austin-based Continuum Analytics raised $10 million from three investors. The company, the creator of the open-sourced analytics platform Anaconda, previously raised $4 million in September of last year. [FormDs]

Telestax, the developers of the communications-platform-as-a service RestcommONE, completed a $4.7 million round of financing led by LiveOak Venture Partners. Since its launch in 2011, Telestax has gained over 170 customers, including Avaya, MetTel, Ping An Bank, T-Mobile, Unifonic and NTT-AT. The funding will be used to meet market and client demand. SourceDay, an Austin startup developing purchase order management automation software, raised $3.5 million to support its growth initiatives. Draper Associates, Silverton Partners and ATX Seed Ventures led the round. The company plans to use the funding for hiring product development personnel and sales professionals. [Press Release]

 

Accenture acquires Clearhead

The digital marketing startup Clearhead announced on Wednesday that it has been acquired by Accenture. Financial terms of the acquisition were not released; however, Clearhead founders Matty Wishnow, Sam Decker, Ryan Garner and their team of 70 will remain with the company. [Press Release]

Ronnie Sheth joined Iconixx as its new VP of customer success. The company develops enterprise sales compensation software. Sheth comes to Iconixx from IBM, where she held various roles in the SPM and analytics divisions. [Press Release]

 

silvercar july.jpgSilvercar announces expansion plans over next 18 months

Following Audi’s acquisition of Austin startup Silvercar, the company recently announced its hefty expansion plans. On Monday, Silvercar shared that it will double its operations over the next 18 months and launch in Seattle and Orlando over the next 60 days. While adding new markets, Silvercar also plans to increase its employee headcount from 50 to about 70 by the end of 2017. [Austin Business Journal]

On Tuesday, Spanning Cloud announced that it had made three key executive hires, including the addition of two former SolarWinds executives and a promotion from within. Chad Savoy joins the company as VP of worldwide sales. Savoy previously served as VP of sales at Vyopta, a title he also held at Datadog, Cornerstone OnDemand and SolarWinds. Paul Strelzick, who served as EVP and president of worldwide sales at SolarWinds, also joined the Spanning Cloud board of directors as its executive chairman. Andrea Adams, Spanning Cloud’s former director of engineering, has also been promoted to VP of engineering. This executive team expansion will support the company’s product and sales growth.
