Milestone opens office in Austin

RealMassive Expands Leadership Team

RealMassive, the first data provider to deliver open access to the commercial real estate industry, announced several key expansions to its leadership team this week, including the appointment of marketing veteran Michael Westgate as Vice President of Marketing and promotion of Zach Watkins to Director of Data Operations. Westgate was most recently Head of Marketing at W20 Group, where he was responsible for the company's overall marketing strategy as well as audience analytics and digital communications planning for top entertainment and technology clients. Westgate spent nearly four years at Microsoft, most recently on the US SMB Team covering customer acquisition and social media strategy.

Lone Star State holds on to #2 spot in CNBC business rankings

Texas held on to its title as the second best state in the country for business, according to CNBC’s 2015 rankings. The Lone Star State beat out every state in the country except Minnesota – which isn’t too shabby. Every year CNBC ranks the 50 states according to 60 different business and economic metrics. This year, Texas scored 1,580 points out 2,500 – which sounds like a low D, but compared to other states it’s actually pretty good. [Built In Austin]

Dropoff raises $7M Series A to fuel expansion

Austin-based logistics company Dropoff has raised a $7 million Series A round of funding to fuel expansion into new markets. The investment was led by Greycroft Partners, with participation from new and existing investors, including Correlation Ventures, Texas Atlantic Capital, and Wild Basin Investments.
