Accounting Clerk

LegalZoom is actively seeking a candidate to join our growing team.  The successful candidate is detailed oriented and deadline driven. The position will include, but is not limited to the following job responsibilities:

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for the processing of filing fee check runs (2 per day). This includes printing and distributing checks.
• Daily requests for cashier checks and manual uploads
• Responsible for processing void checks, which includes entering void checks and related cancellation of vouchers.
• Responsible for reconciling check sequence and troubleshooting any exceptions.
• Responsible for daily cash management entries in the accounting system.
• Responsible for communicating check request exceptions.
• Supply check information to departments as requested.
• Communicate clearly and effectively between multiple departments
• General administrative responsibilities.
• Assist as needed with filing fee related AP tasks.

Qualifications:

• General MS Excel skills
• Deadline driven
• Detail oriented
• Quick to learn
• Able to follow processes and controls
• Knowledge of basic Accounting systems skills is a plus
• Solid typing skills

• 10-Key
• Related state journal entries
• Trust accounts – daily monitoring, replenishment requests and check creation, Frost & USPTO replenishment journal entries and vendor payments.
• High-volume vendor uploads for month-end
• Weekly customer refunds with Order Manager updates
• Deposits & Registered Agent credit card payments
• Chargeback updates in Order Manager
• Cleared check images for departments as needed

Qualifications:

 Bachelors in Finance and/or Accounting Required
