HomeAway is hiring for a BI Analyst to join our fast paced Mobile Apps team in our downtown Austin, TX office. A successful candidate will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, an understanding of data visualization and a high level of business acumen in order to support the Mobile Apps team with data and insights across our mobile applications.

Responsibilities - Create scripts and processes to automate data collection and distribution
- Analyze internal and external sources to identify business opportunities and make recommendations
- Deliver quantitative models to help inform decision making
- Utilize a wide variety of tools such as SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, R, and Python to extract, analyze, and visualize very large multidimensional datasets
- Present findings and visualize data to a wide range of stakeholders
Requirements- Three years work experience in business intelligence and data analytics
- Bachelor’s in an analytical field Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business, Economics, etc.)
- Proven track record of solving complex business problems and communicating easily understood recommendations to teams for implementation
- Solid quantitative and analytical skills
- Record of business analysis and fact-based decision making
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Above average to advanced skills in Excel (proficiency in Google Sheets is desired)
- Familiarity with e-commerce, web analytics and big data platforms (familiarity with Mixpanel is a plus)
- Proficiency in SQL, R or Python is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Soft Skills- Passion for data-driven business decision making
- Fast learner and ability to reach power-user status on multiple tools quickly
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Comfortable dealing with uncertainty by prioritizing effectively
- Desire to exhibit an infectious commitment to excellence
- Ability to work effectively in a lean, global and matrixed environment
