Responsibility as a Business Analyst:

Reporting directly to Product Management, the Business Analyst will be responsible for developing requirements and use cases in support of customer requested enhancements and new features for our HotSchedules, SaaS, and mobile product offerings. You will partner with various stakeholders to research, understand, and define how specific integration features and improvements should be delivered in a SaaS software development environment. This role will document findings into requirements, use cases and/or specifications that will be used as the foundation for feature requirement documents that will be used by product engineering.

The BA will provide relevant acceptance test criteria and work closely with engineers and QA to ensure they have correctly interpreted the specifications. You will work closely with the Product Managers to monitor and manage the progress of feature deployments. The BA will work with Customer Care and Client services support team members, interacting with internal users to identify root causes for issues and create problem statements. The BA will train internal users on new systems, features, and enhancements as well as coordinate discovery meetings with project stakeholders. Documenting existing processes and technical solutions is part of the role. The BA will also provide assistance to Product Managers with the following tasks as needed: create task plans, identify timeframes and deliverables, facilitation of project meetings, publish meeting minutes and project tracking.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business or similar discipline
  • 3 years of experience in a business analyst role within an agile software product development environment deploying SaaS web and mobile applications.
  • 3 years of technical experience working with APIs for the purpose of integrating disparate systems
  • Experience in preparing requirements, process flows, and user stories for new product features or enhancements.  
  • Ability to identify critical issues within product specifications, design, and development and establish resolutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Experience with developing mockups and user interface wireframes to support use cases
  • Strong content development experience creating product documentation for Web or SaaS applications
  • Experience preparing training documentation
  • Excellent communications and cross-functional collaboration skills

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Strong business analysis skills: requirements gathering, use cases, documenting business processes
  • Relevant experience in the labor management/restaurant operations industry
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to maintain and manage several projects while managing expectations.
  • Ability to work independently to meet project requirements with minimal supervision
  • Ability to present ideas and information in group settings.
  • Experience designing and formatting publications
