Business Development Representative
TrustRadius (www.trustradius.com) is changing how business software is bought and sold and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and sales-minded Business Development Representative to join our thriving team. In this position you’ll be tasked to prospect and qualify leads through outbound calling, emails, and personal research.
Specific responsibilities include:
Set qualified discovery call meetings between prospective clients and our account executives
Hit/exceed monthly quota as described in compensation plan
Partner with account executives to build territory pipeline and ensure that the opportunities are moving forward
Research targeted accounts to identify key players and generate interest in TrustRadius offerings
Prospect new accounts that fit the profile or are competitors to existing accounts, then generate interest in TrustRadius offerings
Qualify inbound leads in timely manner and provide lead quality feedback loop to marketing
Input and track all activity in Salesforce.com
Ideal Experience:
1-3 years experience in a sales or cold-calling phone sales capacity preferred. Prior software experience a plus
Hunter mentality in seeking new business
Successful track record of sustained achievement of targets in a sales role or in college
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and be highly self-motivated
Experience working within a team atmosphere
Excellent negotiation skills both internally and externally
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
A genuine desire to learn sales and a strong drive to develop a promising career
Salesforce.com experience a plus
Bachelor's degree preferred
Genuine interest in working for a start up
