Social Solutions is seeking a smart and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst who’s eager to learn and to make the world a better place. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working within a large and complex Sql Codebase, has Professional Services expertise, gets satisfaction from knowing they did things the right way, even if it was harder, has a passion for exceeding the user’s expectations, and can work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Analyst Functions
- In conjunction with lead BI developer, create and maintain SAP Business Object Universes and Web intelligence reports.
- In conjunction with the lead BI developer, create and maintain Crystal Reports.
- In conjunction with the lead BI developer, update and maintain BO .NET SDK applications.
- In conjunction with the lead BI developer, support and maintain legacy in house reporting functions.
- In conjunction with the lead systems engineer and lead BI developer, provide business objects administrator support.
- In conjunction with lead systems engineer, deploy changes to our multiple clustered environments.
- In conjunction the Sr. DBA, analyze and optimize SQL generated by business objects queries and take action where appropriate.
- Perform data migrations of end customer data into the company’s software package (ETO.)
- Complete Report Optimization and Development leveraging the company’s Reporting Platform.
- Follow established departmental SDLC policies and procedures (ie: Agile/SCRUM, Rally, Salesforce Workflows.)
- Prototype ideas for discussion/demonstration.
- Lead a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and their applicability to Company products.
- Interface with customers to manage and resolve elevated technical issues.
- Advocate for new features, new technologies and processes.
Skills & Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or related discipline.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written communication skills, including documentation.
- Ability to work independently.
Technical Expertise
- At least 2 years hands-on of programming work experience with MSSQL including:
- Experience with SQL Queries & Database Objects using MSSQL 2014, including stored procedures, views, and triggers.
- Deep Transact Sql (T-Sql) Expertise.
- Understanding of networking essentials to design and implement physically distributed enterprise applications (application components in multiple data centers.
