Chive Charities searching for a creative and hardworking copywriter to create the compelling and inspiring stories as well as manage Chive Charities’ brand presence across the various forms of online media. Must live in Austin, TX.

Job Description:

Produce compelling copy and creative concepts for campaigns, newsletters and web content for publishing on theCHIVE.com and chivecharities.org

Work collaboratively with Executive Director as well as teammates on State of Chive Charities posts, brochures, summaries, video scripts, call-outs, outreach copy, etc

Work with Program Director and potential/ past recipients to gather extensive details on all recipients for story narratives and updates.

Post weekly recipient updates and stories on chivecharities.org and/or theCHIVE.com

Responsible for the editing, archiving and inputting copy written by outside parties, including publicity and press page posts

Maintain webpage analytics, story and campaign engagement reports.

Manage brand presence across a variety of social media platforms, including the creation of original content, growing user base and engagement, and reporting of such activities

Maintain Chive Charities monthly newsletter, including content creation and publishing

Execute the marketing, production and messaging of Chive Charities campaigns

Other functions as needed

Requirements:

2+ years experience of copywriting or editorial experience in a social media, marketing, donor development, or communications agency role

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, political science or a related field

Advanced skill in writing, content creation and editing

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong Photoshop skills a plus

Nonprofit experience a plus

Social media experience a plus

Live in Austin, TX
