We are currently seeking a Data Analyst – Contractor to join our team located in Austin, Texas.  This role will be responsible for supporting our Test Engineering Team. Some of your key responsibilities include the below.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, maintain and utilize processes for data collection, validation and import processing.
  • Manage, track and communicate customer data input processes including data validation, data processing and archival.
  • Engage with a diverse team including software developers, quality assurance engineers, system administrators,
  • Develop and improve methods to increase application throughput, robustness and consistency in production operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues to resolution
  • Perform implementation of security and compliance-based use cases.
  • Performing maintenance and optimization of existing deployments
  • Communicating with customer stake holders to include leadership, support teams, and system administrators.
  • Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as reports, training material, slide decks, and architecture diagrams.

Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of professional experience designing, developing and maintaining file processing procedures in a Linux environment. Working knowledge of relational databases with an ability to comprehend data models and relationships.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with scripting languages applied to processing data files and automation using PowerShell, Python, Java, VBScript, Perl, Ruby, etc.
  • Experience with Splunk, Elastic Search or other equivalent toolsets.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience supporting customer implementation processes.
  • Capability to work as part of a diverse team to mold solutions to adapt to unique customer requirements.
  • Proficient with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Project, Visio and Outlook required.
  • Adept in planning, leading change and multi-tasking.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and work prioritization skills required.
  • Able to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough and quality oriented.
  • Experience in SOAP, REST API, web-based technologies
  • Experience in requirements analysis, engineering, product testing in test lab/real world environments.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
  • Bachelor in an IT related concentration.
