Quantcast is hiring a Desktop Support Specialist to join the IT Operations team in our Austin office.

You are passionate about customer service and technology. You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and setup a desk for a double-monitor configuration or figure out why the laptop is making a “funny whining sound.” You are task-oriented and self-driven, able to work with as a partner with all the stakeholders at Quantcast who you both support and receive support from. You have the ability to speak technically or in plain English as the situation requires. Our IT support team are called Heroes, and that’s what you are, flying in to save the day.

Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated desk-side support for Mac and Windows in our Austin, TX office, utilizing a variety of tools such as our online ticketing system, telephone, remote login, and walk up assistance.
  • Support our common applications: Office 365, Outlook, Google Apps, RingCentral, Active Directory, and Tableau.
  • Support the bi-weekly all company webinar as a member of the IT AV team. Provide assistance with smaller webinars and events requiring use of the company webinar system.
  • Participate in the global follow-the-sun help queue rotation, fielding tickets when they come into the online system while also addressing local issues simultaneously.
  • Perform trending and root cause analysis of repeated incidents and work with IT colleagues to achieve permanent resolution.
Requirements
  • Prior experience with ticket tracking systems, such as Zendesk, Remedy, and JIRA.
  • Superior Mac hardware and OS troubleshooting skills. Solid Windows troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience performing audio visual support for systems such as Google Hangouts and GoToWebinar. Ability to think on the fly while supporting a live event.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based VOIP systems, such as RingCentral.
  • Familiarity with asset tracking and management systems.
