RetailMeNot's Finance and Business Analytics Team is looking to hire a Director of Business Analytics at our headquarters in the heart of sunny, downtown Austin. The FBA team provides cross-functional decision support to partners across the company, from business operators to the CFO and Exec team, offering analyses and simulations to better inform business decisions. You will collaborate with senior operating leaders in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations. Areas of focus include building self-service reporting, conducting in-depth analyses, predictive modeling, A/B testing, and team member education.

As Director, you will co-lead the FBA team and are responsible for the team’s key deliverables. This involves strong leadership, collaboration, and technical skills. You will lead a small team, assist in enriching our digital data assets, develop big data analytics capabilities, and partner with internal stakeholders to add new value on our key strategic initiatives, ultimately driving audience, revenue growth and return on investment. You will be a hands-on, problem-solving visionary with strong business savvy, who can work cross-functionally to champion ideas, and inspire change. The role reports to VP, Global FP&A.

Who You Are

• 8+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in digital analytics, and hands-on data science modeling experience with large datasets
• You have strong organizational, planning, quantitative and analytical skills; strategic and creative thinking with keen business judgment, focus, and ability to see the "big picture"
• You have an ability to synthesize independently generated data points into a cohesive analysis, and clearly communicate the results of complex analyses to a wide audience in a credible fashion
• You've cultivated productive working relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
• You have excellent interpersonal skills including experience in presenting to senior leadership
• You are passionate around team development and providing consistent feedback/coaching to your entire staff. You are an excellent motivator, with a high energy level.
• You've got a desire to work in a high-energy environment with a dedicated commitment to excellence
• You have knowledge of and experience with 3rd party datasets for identity matching (device graphs, deterministic, probabilistic, etc.) is valuable
• You have a MBA/Master’s degree or higher in any discipline with strong applied-quant orientation preferred

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain strong partner relationships, provide thought leadership in framing the business issues, and analyze and use insights to advise on growth strategies for scaling
• Sell ideas and inform decision-making using clear critical metrics and evidence based mindset, and foster a data-driven culture
• Develop presentations for management reviews in an accurate and timely fashion, and communicate to executives and operating leaders
• Develop a deep understanding of RMN data assets, enrich with 3rd party data sets for online/offline user journey influences
• Continuously innovate on internal processes and tools, advance data science analytics methodologies, and be a creative force in the development of a comprehensive analytics roadmap
• Lead a team and nurture a high-performing culture via skills enrichment, mentoring & performance reviews, projects scoping, effective delegation, delivery excellence, and celebrating success
