ABOUT US

Join Our Team:

TrendKite is transforming the way the world views earned media - and we’re making life better for PR professionals in the process. Our platform harnesses big data and analytics to easily measure the impact news coverage has on a brand’s reputation, website traffic, and business goals. As a venture backed, high traction startup, we’re disrupting a huge existing market while helping companies like Google, Evernote, Delta, BBC America and hundreds more turn PR coverage into real business impact.

We’re looking for a performance-oriented, data-driven Director of Market Development, with a proven track record of leading multiple MDR (or SDR/BDR/LDR) managers and teams to exceed quotas and achieve new heights. The Market Development teams are the engines that power TrendKite’s triple-digit growth, so this is a critical role.

Our Culture:

The TrendKite team is smart, passionate, and loves the hands-on hard work it takes to build a great company. As a company, we work hard, play hard, and do everything we can to make our customers wildly successful. We're a motivated group with a passion for start-ups and the wild but rewarding ride they entail. Enjoy doing stuff outside of the office? Us too! We celebrate our successes outside of work and take care of our people with solid benefits.
THE ROLE

What you'll do at TrendKite:

  • Lead several high-volume Market Development teams in prospecting, cold-calling, outreach, rapid response to inbound leads, and setting demos
  • Own and exceed the demo quota for all MDR teams
  • Manage the MDR team managers and team leads
  • Take our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) account targeting, scoring, and rotation system to the next level, while serving, along with the Director of Demand Generation, as an ABM thought leader and evangelist within TrendKite
  • Serve as a key member of the Marketing Leadership team to ensure that Market Development drives efficiencies by being closely aligned and collaborating with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Content, and other marketing functions.
  • Motivate, coach, and inspire team members while helping them grow as individuals and as businesspeople
  • Guide Market Development Representatives through the career path (typically to our sales organization)
  • Mentor Market Development Managers in strategic thinking and planning, data-driven management, and people management
  • Analyze, report on, and continually optimize Market Development team output. This requires you to be skilled in Salesforce, InsightSquared, and good old-fashioned Excel pivot tables
  • Partner with Sales to ensure demo handoff and follow-up maximizes our closed/won ratio
  • Combine knowledge of industry best practices with an “always be testing” approach to ensure that we’re always learning and maximizing team output
  • Train and accelerate ramp time of new hires, then provide ongoing training and coaching
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring to ensure we're bringing in top talent

What you MUST bring to the table:

  • Minimum 3+ years of senior level management experience
  • Experience managing a high-volume lead generation team in a technology company
  • 4 year Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in a SaaS recurring revenue model
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (We will not sponsor at this time)
  • Willingness to "get in the trenches", roll up your sleeves and show the team how to do the work
  • Mentorship and coaching experience/methodology that you're willing to share
  • Positivity and desire to uplift and share knowledge with those around you
  • Adaptable but organized -- We're a start up! You've got to be OK with being on your toes at times but able to maintain focus within your day to day activities to reach goals
  • Stellar communication skills both over the phone and in writing
  • Ability to forecast and articulate past forecasting
