Director of Marketing

As Director of Marketing, you will report to the Managing Partner of Business Development and be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies across both the professional services and software products lines of business.

  • Create annual marketing strategy, overseeing execution and company-wide communication
  • Drive increase in marketing to sales conversion, reporting on pipeline and determining areas for optimization
  • Develop and leverage key analytics to drive marketing campaigns and marketing direction
  • Set quarterly marketing goals and lead team to achieve said goals
  • Create and manage annual marketing budget
  • Oversee all Praecipio Consulting messaging across marketing channels and via sales enablement collateral
  • Determine targeted events (including conferences, workshops, and self-hosted events) and set messaging
  • Work with Principal of Product Development to create and execute product marketing plans
  • Develop strategies and coordinate with technology partners to find and create opportunities for co-marketing to maximize mutual benefit
  • Mentor and guide marketing team members (Marketing Coordinator & Digital Arts Production Lead) to encourage growth, learning, and professional fulfillment
Requirements
  • Ability to understand IT and business process needs and formulate solutions based on a specific set of offerings 
  • Thrives in a process-centric, metric-driven environment
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in Marketing with proven leadership and/or project management capabilities
  • Background in marketing services and products related to software development, technology management, delivery, and IT operations
  • Willingness to travel up to 25-50% for onsite tradeshows, events, and user groups
  • Resilient, problem-solving, self-learner 
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding set goals and assigned quotas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects & meet deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and stay on feet for extended periods of time
  • After hours and weekend attendance to events required
  • Location: Austin, TX; must be willing to relocate
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
