Enterprise Application Specialist
Summary:
BigCommerce, named a "Best Place to Work" in Austin 2016, is looking for an Enterprise Application Specialist for our Austin Four Points Office. In this exciting role you will work closely with clients, partners and internal teams to recommend appropriate software applications and design best in class eCommerce ecosystem integrations to achieve the unique business outcomes of the most exciting and fastest growing eCommerce merchants and brands.
What You’ll Do:
Execute the evaluation, development and delivery of differentiated custom, and semi-custom eCommerce presentations and solutions; including advanced technical concepts to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs by:
- Understanding the business driving client technologies;
- Participating in technical requirements gathering and solution architecture for clients;
- Serving as a technical subject matter expert for Onboarding Consultants and Sales Engineers;
- Assisting clients to identify appropriate technologies for accomplishing their strategic technology goals;
- Deliver solutions and presentations in an effective and timely manner, responding to RFI / RFPs involving multiple resources;
- Functions as an Enterprise Applications integration specialist for interoperability design and problem resolution related to business applications and related middleware components;
- Select, evaluate and recommend third party software solutions for business problems.
Who You Are:
- An industry expert in Tier 1 and Tier 2 modular middleware and application based solutions.
- Experienced in delivering complex integrations involving technologies.
- Knowledgeable in system analysis, design methodologies and tools; experienced with large and complex eCommerce systems.
- Experienced with multisystem/platform program integration.
- Possess demonstrable presentation and communication skills.
- Contacts within the BigCommerce partner and application ecosystem preferred.
Required Skills/Experience:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a technology capacity.
- Networking and related technologies/protocols/services (TCP/IP, routing, DNS, HTTP/S, SS)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Relevant consulting or industry experience.
- Experience managing large technology engagements.
- Experience in full system development life cycle implementations.
- Experience with business process analysis, mapping, and design.
- Experience in requirements analysis and performing current state system analysis.
- Experience performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object oriented analysis and design techniques.
- Understanding of user experience, user centered design, mobile design and responsive web design.
- Exposure to enterprise applications such as Siebel, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle.
- Experience with Middleware and/or SOA base implementations.

- Possess strong verbal and written communications skills with a focus on discovery, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques, including presentation skills (LucidCharts, MS PowerPoint).
- Possess superior presentation skill, Technical and business writing; including formal/informal oral presentation.
