Overview
ihiji, an entrepreneurial software company, is growing its team and seeking a Data Scientist Intern. In this role you'll help analyze our data sets for information that can assist our customers and business.
ihiji’s products allow IT professionals to efficiently manage the complexity of the internet of things. The company's first product, invision, was released in 2010 and provides a secure gateway for IT professionals to remotely monitor and manage all aspects of a client’s home or business networked devices. ihiji's newest product builds on invision's remote management capabilities, providing a new set of tools for ongoing customer management in the complex world of network connectivity.
ihiji is a well funded startup with a strong revenue stream and customer base. We are a Capital Factory member company and a graduate company of the Austin Technology Incubator (ATI) who has housed and launched some of the most successful startup companies in Texas. Qualifications
Knowing how to code. We're a small team tackling big problems; you'll make the biggest impact if you can code efficiently and contribute to our research infrastructure.
Solid command of basic statistics and a strong quantitative aptitude. Machine learning and advanced stats not required, but it sure doesn't hurt.
Pragmatism and demonstrated skill at turning data into action.
Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
A passion for data and conveying analytical information.
Pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in a scientific or quantitative field
Responsibilities
Building tools to visualize how users navigate the application
Research on statistical methodology of running experiments
developing prototypes and metrics to drive product and business decisions
Compensation
Internship is unpaid, but can qualify for program internship course credits
