The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded communications professional who wants to make a difference within HomeAway and beyond. 

In this position, you’ll spend your days writing and developing content for a wide variety of communication channels to help inform and empower the HomeAway team. While you’ll primarily support internal communications for U.S. employees, because you’ll be a part of a small team, you may be asked to jump in at any point in time to support global initiatives. At HomeAway, we’re big on using data to inform our decisions, so you’ll also be responsible for tracking and analyzing the impact of our work to drive better performance.

Besides supporting our day-to-day internal communications efforts, we’re looking for someone to play a critical role in managing the community relations aspect of our employee engagement strategy. Charitable Giving is a cornerstone of our company culture, and we need someone to add structure and focus to our existing program and to help us optimize our philanthropic efforts around the globe.

This role will report into the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement and join the growing Communications and Engagement team. This is the perfect opportunity to jump in at the ground floor and to play an integral role in shaping how our function adds value to our dynamic global organization.

  • Extreme precision in both verbal and written communications 
  • Remain calm, cool and collected in the face of rapid change
  • Anticipate and fulfill the needs of those around you quickly and efficiently
  • Meticulous multi-tasking
  • Data extraction and analysis that helps improve our communication and engagement efforts
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with colleagues and community partners, alike.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of communications/PR/content experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources, English or related field.
  • Proactive “Can-do”-er
  • Independent thinker who likes contributing to a team
  • Graphic design skills? Yes!
  • Video editing skills? Even better!
