Alienvault is seeking an IT Helpdesk Administrator, that will be responsible for supporting users both on-site and remotely with software and hardware issues, the onboarding new-hire process, inventory, and managing the helpdesk trouble ticket queue system. This role is based on site in our Austin, Texas office and reports directly to the Senior Director – Information Technology.  This position does not allow for working remotely.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Onboarding of new hires to make a positive Alien new hire experience as possible
  • Help with general PC and Mac support questions
  • Configure and set up Office365 for users and assist with troubleshooting issues
  • Set up users in the AlienVault RingCentral phone system
  • General hardware troubleshooting
  • ZenDesk helpdesk ticket system administration
  • File sharing/Printing administration
  • Work with vendors with hardware orders and tracking
  • IT asset tracking
  • Write and manage technical documentation, policies, and procedures for the environment
  • AlienVault is a fast-paced fun place to work, what you do keeps our Aliens/employees productive with their IT resources

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Proactive work ethic; positive attitude; professional conduct
  • Very customer service oriented
  • 2-3+ years real-world experience with supporting an internal helpdesk
  • Strong experience with Macs and Windows 10 OS’s
  • Experience with Office365
  • Previous experience with RingCentral phone environment is a plus
  • Any experience with outsourced applications such as Box.com, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Meraki a plus
