Lead Analyst, Marketing
BigCommerce, named "Best Place to Work" in Austin in 2017 is looking for a Lead Analyst, Marketing in our Austin office to own marketing analytics projects, and help drive quantifiable improvements in demand generation across digital, partner and account-based marketing.
What you'll do
- Provide analytical leadership for the BigCommerce marketing team, including partnering closely with other business units (e.g. Sales, Finance and Product)
- Develop, deliver and communicate data insights and strategic recommendations to the executive leadership team in a clear and concise manner
- Analyze marketing effectiveness, identify strategic and tactical opportunities, and make recommendations to further profitability and growth
- Become an evangelist for data-driven decision making and quantify impacts of business decisions on the customer prospect journey
- Consult with digital marketing and conversion specialists, third party agencies and website product managers to inform tracking and optimization projects impacting BigCommerce.com and other digital properties
- Become a subject matter expert on BigCommerce’s account-based marketing programs and refine methodologies for measuring their effectiveness and ROI in a multi-touch model
- Analyze co-marketing initiatives with strategic partners and identify opportunities for improvement and expansion
- Author and maintain reporting to keep a pulse on the performance of diverse marketing channels throughout the customer prospect lifecycle/funnel
- Identify gaps and build a roadmap for marketing reporting, balancing stakeholder needs and business impacts
- Prioritize your time and effort to maximize impact on meeting key team objectives
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience working with marketing data and utilizing quantitative techniques to conduct campaign analysis, program optimization, customer segmentation
- A bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or applicable experience
- Google Analytics expert, with strong knowledge of digital marketing analytics, website tracking and related technologies (experience with Segment, Optimizely or Marketo a plus)
- Multiple years of experience using SQL to analyze large datasets and answer business questions
- Comfortable with statistical analysis, A/B testing and experimental design
- Experience measuring subscription/SaaS business models and related metrics
- An engaged, people person with experience in cross-functional roles
- Proactive and results-oriented, comfortable independently solving problems despite ambiguity
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Ambitious, self-motivated, goal-oriented and analytical
- Excellent time-management skills
