 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute full lifecycle software development for the Under Armour Android app
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Document and maintain software functionality
• Work closely with backend engineers to design and optimize client/server interaction model
• Provide thought leadership on industry best practices around design, testing, and security
• Work closely with product teams to define and refine feature specifications
• Lead integration discussions with internal and external partners
• Coach team members to help grow engineering talent
• Turn big ideas into simple, elegant solutions

 Qualifications

• High proficiency in Java and deep understanding of the Android platform
• Familiarity with complex layout design and
• Experience with Android libraries such as Dagger, OkHttp/Retrofit, RxJava and JUnit
• Experience writing unit tests and testable code
• High proficiency with using Git in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working closely with product and design teams to break business requirements down into actionable engineering tasks

 Education and/or Experience

• BS in CS or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of development experience, with 4+ years shipping Android apps
• 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team
