Marketing Intern
The OneSpot marketing team is growing! We’re looking for a passionate, motivated marketing intern who will support the marketing team in various initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness. Your fingerprints will be on all aspects of our B2B Account-Based Marketing strategy that includes demand generation, field events, product marketing and marketing operations. The ideal intern will have a mixture of creative and analytical abilities with lots of willingness to learn and eagerness to own initiatives that make a real-world impact on the company.
Here’s what our marketing intern’s responsibilities will be:
Social media
- Own the OneSpot social channels, establishing a regular sharing cadence of both owned and external content while reporting on results to Sr. Director of Marketing
Sales enablement & product marketing
- Conduct content audits to identify more target accounts
- Lead list building efforts to increase coverage for target accounts
- Maintain data cleanliness by converting quality Tier 1 leads to contacts so they sit under the account
- Support on-going improvements to CRM infrastructure to increase campaign targeting and tracking capabilities
- Keeping tabs on competitors through Google Alerts and social media monitoring and reporting insights to Product Marketing Manager
- Own weekly internal newsletter with competitor, industry and client news
Marketo & marketing automation
- Convert Marketo programs to new templates and structures as needed
- Perform quality assurance for new Marketo campaigns
Events
- Audit lists of event attendees to identify qualified prospects
- Assist Head of Events Marketing with logistical support (venue research, mailing swag / signage, printing collateral, etc.)
Direct mail
- Assist marketing team with logistical support (kitting mailers, fedex labels, tracking shipments, etc.)
Content
- Help to maintain marketing calendar (editorial, campaigns, press releases, events, etc.)
- Conduct research for blogs, whitepapers, etc.
Reporting & analytics
- Help pull reports in Marketo, Google Analytics and SFDC and mine data for insights
Website
- Using WordPress, post bylines, press releases, media mentions, etc.
- Assist in optimizing site for SEO
Here’s what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
- Rising junior or senior in a marketing, communications, advertising, MIS or other related major
- Comfort with hitting deadlines, executive-level visibility into your work and owning tactical initiatives that directly impact the company’s growth
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in content marketing, personalization or AI-based technologies a plus
- Show a high degree of self-motivation and work well both as an individual and within team environment
- Available to work during the spring semester on a part-time basis in our downtown Austin office with potential to extend through the following summer
- Excitement and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
