Payroll Administrator

HomeAway has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Administrator in its Austin, Texas headquarters. Reporting to the US Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will work closely with the Human Resources and Accounting Departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of comprehensive multi-state payrolls for multiple legal entities. The ideal candidate for this role will be detail oriented, analytical and willing to work in a fast paced and growing environment to effectively assist in day to day operations of a variety of payroll, benefits, equity and accounting processes.


Key Responsibilities: 

- Process exempt and nonexempt employee payroll records to include accurate timecard, accrual, benefit and tax review, payment and reporting.

- Adhere to US and state requirements with wage and hour regulations by processing semimonthly and biweekly payrolls.

- Act as liaison with Human Resources for day-to-day processing of new hires, terminations, employee changes, and benefit deductions and reporting.

- Assist employees by researching complex pay, benefit, tax and/or equity issues in an accurate, timely and professional manner.

- Compile payroll journal entries to interface ADP with Oracle Financials.

- Maintain accurate documentation necessary for audit, tax reporting and in compliance with record retention laws.

- Assist with special projects as needed and partner with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements. 

Qualifications:

- Timekeeping software experience – Oracle Time & Labor preferred.

- 5 years payroll processing experience preferred, ADP experience a plus.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or relevant payroll experience.

- Experience with multi-state tax processing including knowledge of federal, state and local tax regulations.

- Must be able to multi-task, be self-motivated and proactive.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and ability to see tasks through to completion.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact professionally with customers, both internal and external.
