The successful candidate will act as an employee champion and change agent by developing, facilitating and administering HR programs and initiatives. The People Manager will provide support in all areas, including onboarding new team members, performance management, team member engagement, team events, benefits and rewards. The People Manager will be challenged to seek out ways to support our team members with their day to day needs, their development aspirations and their engagement with the organization. The right person will thrive in an "all hands on deck" environment, loves solving people problems and can pivot quickly. This role is all about partnering with the VP of Talent and crafting the people strategy for the organization, and enriching the support structure for management. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to help build out programs and processes from scratch.

 Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

  • Manage the day to day People related projects and tasks.
  • Collaborate with team leads to identify key people development needs and strategies that align with the needs of the business.
  • Coordinate the successful onboarding of new employees
  • Create and implement policy enhancements that support the company goals.
  • Responsible for annual benefit open enrollment meetings, ongoing benefit guidance to team members and assist with leave administration.
  • Partner with your clients to roll out all key people processes (performance management, benefits, development programs, etc).
  • Maintain a depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Vision and Execution: Bringing ideas to life. It is more than thinking up new solutions. You will get your hands dirty and be responsible for contributing to the creation of these solutions in tangible ways.
  • Recruiting: Manage overall recruiting processes. We need top talent, and that means partnering with managers to identify and understand job specifications and hiring needs, drafting/updating job descriptions, and ensuring the onboarding process meets company requirements and provides a welcoming new hire experience.
  • Retention: Developing effective retention strategies will be a focus of this role. Developing retention strategies, establishing clear career path opportunities, and positively impacting the Headspring culture.

 Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to listen to others, provide appropriate feedback, communicate professionally to develop and maintain successful work relationships.
  • Strong background in recruiting and building recruiting programs and infrastructure within the technology services industry
  • Understanding of various employment laws and their impact on HR matters.
  • Unquestioned integrity with assertiveness, presence, and confidence. Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and extreme flexibility to be proactive in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • Tenacity and ability to build from scratch are imperative.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator including excellent presentation skills; analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Have the confidence to ask thought-provoking questions and give high-quality feedback
  • Are an effective communicator and you know how to make yourself easily understood and make others feel heard.
  • Self-driven. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks. You don't get overwhelmed easily!
  • Naturally curious. You're innovative, extremely creative and constantly looking for ways to improve upon things.
  • Fun. You're a charismatic people person who can talk to anyone; you're flexible and excited about your part in our growth.
  • Motivated. You understand the impact of a highly satisfied, excited team; you are slightly obsessive about grinding away at issues.
  • A utility player. Flexibility with a willingness to handle a variety of projects at the same time. Basically, you're willing to help out wherever needed!
