We’re looking for a Product Manager to oversee part of the Spiceworks Community, taking on three product areas: Connect (forums and social networking), Learn (educational content), and Buy (product reviews). Responsibilities

Your day-to-day (as a Product Manager, Community, you’ll):

 

  • Identify potential user problems to solve through qualitative and quantitative analyses, A/B testing, and user research
  • Research digital/Community-based ecosystems and players to inform product priorities
  • Set the product vision, strategy, priorities, and success metrics to deliver value and delight to our users while continuing to grow the Spiceworks business
  • Be hands on: conduct experiments on hypothesis, write user stories, review wireframes, analyze data, run A/B tests, and take ownership to ensure we ship a high-quality product
  • Work closely with teams such as engineering, user experience, SEO, editorial, data science, Community, QA and other product teams to deliver features from conception to launch
  • Communicate decision-making process and associated data widely throughout the company
Qualifications

Qualifications: What does it take to do this job?

 

  • At least four years of Product Management and/or Community Manager experience
  • Passion for being a champion for IT professionals
  • An understanding of social/professional communities and their unique interaction and growth models
  • Exceptional independent problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A curiosity for numbers and comfort analyzing product experiences with quantitative tools
  • A record of delivering initiatives from concept through completion
  • An understanding of the balance between product innovation and optimization
  • Prioritize roadmaps based on business-driven decisions from experiment results and forecasting
  • Ability to drive execution, stay ahead of dependencies, make smart tradeoffs, coordinate dependencies, and maintain communication throughout the organization
  • Excellent writing chops and presentation skills to senior management and stakeholders, with the ability to lead meetings and initiatives
  • A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
