Proposal Manager
Lead the creation, production, and execution of proposals for complex proposals, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
Interact with Sales, Partner Services, Product Development, Marketing, Finance, and potentially other areas to create persuasive proposals that effectively and clearly position Civitas Learning solutions to meet the needs of prospective clients
Own proposal writing processes to make sure there is a precise system in place for all proposals
Manage several proposals simultaneously and often short turn-around atmosphere
Facilitate all aspects of project management for proposals, from analysis and requirements documentation, to solution definition, team and SME involvement, project planning, meeting facilitation, draft development, and final proposal production and delivery
Ensure all SME/task assignments are identified, assigned, and delivered on time and to specification, with precise, complete, and approved draft content that meets all technical and business proposal requirements
Comfort navigating tough questions and challenging status quo appropriately
Maintain proposal content database to make sure all material being used remains updated
Gain expert-level feature, function, and position knowledge of company products, offerings, and industry-specific terms and knowledge
Prep proposal presentation teams and field follow-up questions / clarifications
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in English, Creative Writing, Print Journalism, Public Relations, or another writing focused field
Minimum three-years experience in technical writing or proposal writing for competitive bids, especially public sector proposals
Experience writing compelling documents or proposals in a collaborative environment
Understanding of domestic and international RFP, RFQ, RFI technical and legal requirements
Project management experience
Extreme ownership, including the ability to lead and dig into simultaneous projects with multiple participants and overlapping timelines
Contract administration experience, including an understanding of cooperative purchasing and Multiple Award Schedules
Familiarity with sales process, including experience working with sales organizations
Highly communicative with strong interpersonal skills
Provide consistent status reports on proposals, opportunities
Excellent Microsoft Word skills, solid knowledge of Excel, and creating PDFs
Must be organized, flexible, and self-directed to meet deadlines
