Condé Nast technology team is looking for a strong QA Engineer to help us build a world class editorial platform to support our brands such as Allure, Architectural Digest, Backchannel, Pitchfork, Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, WIRED, and others.  As an QA Engineer you have a proven track record testing front and back end applications, working with automation suites and leading the charge for automation over manual testing while working directly with Development teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain documentation, test cases, and test scripts with current QA procedures and methodologies to accurately describe test scope and test schedules
  • Supporting and managing automated regression suite currently written in Capybara/Rspec
  • Coordinating weekly releases with goal of Continuous Delivery
  • Design, create, and maintain test data needed to support quality testing
  • Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities with team and business owners
  • Validation of web applications including functional, integrations and regression testing. This includes performing manual and automated testing on multiple environments, multiple browsers 
  • Perform root cause analysis of production issues to identify cause and implement corrective action going forward
  • Analyzing existing systems to find areas for improvement
  • Think outside the box to identify both functional and non-functional test scenarios (including edge cases) to be executed during test cycle
  • Diagnose, report, track and resolve quality issues in an efficient manner
Desired Skills & Qualifications: 
  • Four-year college MIS, CS, or related degree in an accredited university (or equivalent experience) 
  • 4+ years of QA engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of STLC and Quality metrics 
  • Implementation of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience with open source automation tools such as webdriver
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Rspec and JavaScript 
  • Ability to work concurrently on several projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
  • Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative agile environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
