What you’ll do:

As a Market Manager (Merchant Sales Representative), you will work with community banks and credit unions around the US to identify, build and grow a network of local businesses.  Additionally, you will seek out opportunities to generate business by engaging with local merchants and signing them up to be a preferred local business.  This role will have a direct and substantial impact on Buzz Points’ local footprint.  

The ideal candidate is someone who has a wide variety of experience selling programs via phone and webinars to communities all across the United States. You will work closely with our Marketing Department to both identify opportunities in each market as well as build and enhance our Buzz points brand and incentivize market growth.

·       Collaborate with the partner Financial Institution to identify the locally owned and operated businesses in your marketplace.

·       Analyze target markets for merchant acquisitions and create a plan to grow the local market.

·       Conduct sales presentations via phone/internet to new merchants.

·       Build/manage individual sales pipeline via our CRM tools.

·       Occasional travel to assigned market to assist with merchant acquisition efforts.

·       Collaborate closely with Marketing to identify opportunities in your markets to brand Buzz Points and drive increased spend into the local user base.

·       Research and develop assigned markets (local business communities) using web-based tools to strategize a go-to market plan.

·       Responsible for preparing weekly market health status of assigned territory as well as presenting recommendations to improve market performance.

·       Represent the Buzz Points brand and mission with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.

•        Ability to make 12 sales per month.

•        Ability to manage multiple initiatives while working independently.

What’s required:

•        0-2 years previous sales experience (B2B/consultative sales is a plus).

•        4 year Bachelor degree a plus.

•        Extremely strong communication skills – which means active listening, problem solving, written communication.

•        Self-Starter/Motivator who works well with others.

•        Customer-centric approach to work.

•        Solid computer skills, including Google Docs, Microsoft Office suite, etc.

•        Salesforce.com knowledge a plus.
