RetailMeNot is building out our growing Retail and Brand Solutions team with the creation of a new Sales Planning team! Sales Planning will report up through the SVP of Sales and will own our media planning processes. In collaboration with Account Directors (ADs) and Account Managers (AMs), you will develop media plans and build offers/assets to meet client’s needs.
 
As a Sales Planner, you will partner with account teams of 4-8 ADs and AMs and will have ownership of the media plans in the combined portfolio of the account team. You'll collaborate with and learn from many different personalities on the Sales team working across a variety of businesses and industries. Portfolios of business will vary by Sales Planner; for example, a Sales Planner could work on ad agency plans, fast fashion / shoes / menswear / electronics / or automotive partner plans – no two portfolios will be the same!
 
Day to day, a Sales Planner will assist the AD with development of media plans, reserve and book placements, run approvals processes, build savings content to use in media, and optimize bookings. A successful RetailMeNot Sales Planner will build relationships cross functionally, will live the RetailMeNot core values, and have a passion for client success!
 
Candidates must be in Austin, TX or be willing to relocate
 
What You'll Be Doing
  • Assist in development of media plans with ADs and AMs
  • Reserve inventory in line with AD/client needs
  • Communicate externally with clients to source offers and creative assets
  • Build offers and creative assets via in house systems, append to media plans
  • Communicate internally with cross functional stakeholders to keep team abreast of prioritization, deadlines, etc.
  • Integrate multiple data points into a well-developed media plan
  • Foster relationships with ADs and AMs who will help guide account strategies, while also collaborating closely with fellow Sales Planners to develop best practices
  • Update and manage workflow documentation
Who You Are
  • At least 1 year of relevant digital media experience
  • Experience as an agency Media Planner or Assistant Media Planner
  • Experience with Salesforce, Excel, and Powerpoint required
  • Experience using Operative / DFP and Tableau strongly preferred
  • High-intrinsic motivation, a self-starter who takes initiative without being asked
  • Success-motivated with a keen eye for process improvement and efficiency
  • Project management characteristics who can multi-task and reprioritize rapidly
  • Confident personality with strong communication skills and desire for collaboration
  • Strong attention to detail and consistent curiosity
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects at on time while communicating consistently
  • Problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
