What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Data Architect at Main Street Hub, you will…

• Be extremely hands on. Working with an existing data lake with a wealth of data, you will work directly with the development team to decide on the right data set needed to answer questions from business owners. Help to transform data into a format that provides accurate insight into our business.
• Work directly with CFO, SVP of Engineering, and various business stakeholders to define the strategy for our Business Intelligence Platform.
• Provide leadership and expertise in the design and development of data standards, data modeling, data governance, design patterns, and practices. Define tools and infrastructure that makes generating accurate insight a reproducible process.
• Build consensus around solutions where possible and giving direction when needed.
• Drive teams to implement a production quality data lake and data warehouse.
• Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designs

What does it take to succeed?

Basic Vocational Skills

• Expertise in large-scale data management (we use Spark, Airflow, Zeppelin, etc - all in AWS).
• Expertise with modern data architecture and data environment.
• Expertise with Relational and NoSQL databases to help teams organize their data for flexible high-quality analysis.
• Experience in combining disparate data sources from sales, marketing, and social media platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with real-time reporting and BI tools is a plus.
• Be able to defend yourself in Nerf gun wars that break out unexpectedly, escalate definitely, fun infinitely. If you are the instigator of said war, even better.
