HomeAway is growing and has an opportunity for a strong software product management leader to make their mark in the online travel industry. This is an exciting role that will shape the future experience for vacation rental owners and managers throughout the HomeAway marketplace.

 

We are searching for a Senior Product Manager to join our team and champion vacation rental owners and managers with products that drive their business. The Partner Experience team at HomeAway defines the strategy and capabilities which our customers use to join our marketplace, manage their communications with travelers day to day, and effectively market their listings. Your role is to help build a compelling engagement framework that ensures our customers thrive.

 

This includes capabilities for new channels to engage our customers, promote new features, and drive our customer's performance with targeted insights. Since our acquisition by Expedia, we have access to a huge set of market data which will provide amazing value to our customers so long as we build simple user experiences to make it impactful. We're looking for someone who has a passion for deep customer empathy, awesome design instincts, and experience using data and testing to build great products.

- Drive the product vision and roadmap

- Define clear requirements and work with development to bring your products to life

- Work closely with design to define and test experiences with a high degree of usability on all device types

- Facilitate a strategy of starting small and a/b testing your way to market

- Lead competitive research activities to identify gaps and opportunities to improve our experience

- Communicate broadly with the organization and executive team on progress and product decisions

 

- 5+ years of product management experience

- High level of initiative and desire to create a world-class user experience for our vacation rental owners and managers

- Proven track record of managing a product line

- Demonstrated experience leveraging product management best practices

- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive collaborative decisions

- Experience with online travel and/or consumer marketplaces preferred

- Experience creating deeply segmented experiences based on customer profiles a bonus

- BS or BA in related field, MBA preferred
