Dropcountr is searching for an experienced, senior-level Ruby engineer to lead development of our back-end platform. We need a professional developer who can hold their own in a fast paced environment.

Our current stack includes: Ruby (Sinatra), Postgres, Elasticsearch, Backbone.js and React Native. Most of our infrastructure components are running on AWS.

Job Responsibilities 
• Take ownership of our ruby (Sinatra) codebase. 
• Pair with our front-end team to architect and develop new features. 
• Analyze and upgrade or replace existing pain points in our stack. 
• Partner with our VP of Engineering on our architectural roadmap.

Technical Requirements 
• +4 years of Ruby development experience on SaaS products 
• +4 years of team-built software experience (PRs, code reviews, TDD/BDD) 
• You (strive to) constantly improve the quality of code you touch.

Extra Credit for: Sinatra, Refactoring projects (=> RoR), Microservices / SOA, IoT, Big Data, ELT pipelines, React / React Native, PostGIS
