Driving and executing a security research agenda that supports Duo's mission and product bringing broad awareness to the company and Duo Labs through novel technical research providing thought leadership in the security community to position Duo as a trusted brand leading efforts to externalize research through conference talks, press, and customer calls

• 4-6 years experience doing security research in relevant previous roles
• Demonstrated capabilities in discovering and exploiting novel vulnerabilities
• Specific interest in modern web and mobile vulnerabilities
• Experience speaking at top industry conferences (eg. BlackHat, RSA, etc)
• Strong knowledge of past research and related work done in the security industry
• In-depth knowledge of Python or similar programming languages
• Proficient with reverse engineering and analysis tools (eg. IDA, Burp, etc)
• Hardware hacking skills are also a big plus
• Strong writing and communication skills for blog posts, reports, press, and conferences

• You are passionate about externalizing research, methodology, tools and other technical security knowledge
• You enjoy helping set research direction and taking on projects that have an impact
• You want to hack the planet

• You are most interested in shaping the direction of our product based on your view of data science and the information security industry. You should definitely look at our Sr. Product Manager of Data and Analytics position.
• You would prefer to focus on engineering data storage and visualization solutions for Duo’s products. Check out this position on our engineering team.
• If you thrive on execution, but need sequential, tightly scoped, discrete tasks in order to perform well, this probably isn't the right job for you. In this job, you will often need to take a coarse idea and figure out how to best execute against it using creative problem-solving.
