SEO Marketing Manager

Position Overview
uShip is seeking a passionate and experienced SEO Marketing Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. This highly analytical person will improve and promote the uShip websites in order to increase the number of organic visitors from Google, Bing, and Yahoo. uShip already does extremely well on the search engines but we’ve identified areas with significant additional opportunity. We are seeking someone to help take our SEO program to the next level.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with defining strategy and best practices for our SEO efforts
Consistently acquire high quality, relevant links from 3rd party sites to the uShip domain
Work with the Content Marketing Team to guide content creation efforts
Audit & optimize meta tags, copy, and other on-page factors
Audit internal links and make recommendations for how they should be updated
Monitor uShip’s backlink profile and send link removal requests as needed
Monitor rankings, analytics, and Google Webmaster Tools to identify and respond to problems & opportunities
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years of experience with SEO
Demonstrated success in managing a large SEO program
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience
Fundamental understanding of both on-page and off-page search engine optimization best practices with a track record of proven results
A passion for the Internet and Digital Marketing as a whole
Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to adjust HTML & CSS on existing web page
Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually and in a team environment
Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility
The desire to work in a fast paced start-up environment
