Senior Instructional Designer/Developer
The Senior Instructional Designer/Developer will help create an effective, innovative, and engaging learning experience for LegalZoom leaders, teams, and employees. This role is responsible for developing content for both in-class and online/virtual in a variety of modalities. Content design and delivery will support strategic onboarding programs, corporate compliance training, professional and personal development, and competency and skill-building. Content delivered will be well organized, compelling, and accurate meeting the needs of the target audience in a variety of modalities and demands of a fast-paced organization. The Senior IDD will manage projects with high organization and accountability.
What You’ll Do:- Work with stakeholders at various levels throughout the organization including Subject Matter Experts (SME), to identify learning needs
- Create SOWs, storyboards, project maps, project plans, etc. to ensure content development will drive desired/expected results and is completed in a timely manner
- Create and maintain instructor-led (IL) curricula delivered by certified facilitators based on storyboards or project maps integrating a variety of modalities
- Create and maintain online curricula delivered via our Learning Management System (LMS) or other online/virtual solutions based on storyboards or project maps integrating a variety of modalities
- Confer and collaborate with other Instructional Design, Instructor, and Knowledge Management, Communications teams to share best-practices and information sharing
- Work with Learning Executive Committee’s Communications and Marketing sub-committee to develop and deliver innovative and effective communication content to our learners to include video, flyers, information sessions, internal social media, etc.
Qualifications:- Exceptional human relations and communications skills
- 3 to 5 years of experience in innovative and successful instructional design, development, and delivery in a formal environment
- Practical knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies for classroom, social learning, peer-to-peer, self-guided, and virtual learning environments
- Working knowledge with ADDIE & SAM design methodology
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications - Proficient with web design and authoring, multimedia production and editing, and image editing tools
- Experience in learning and content management systems administration and usage
- Familiar with open-source learning platforms, such as Moodle
Education
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, and/or Educational Technology or equivalent required
- Certifications in learning design and development and project management a plus
