The Opportunity

We are searching for a Global Talent Acquisition Leader to drive world class recruiting strategies and solutions while providing a superior experience for hiring leaders, candidates, and the recruiting team! You will be responsible for retaining and developing top recruiting talent and scaling the business. This role will leverage your recruiting expertise, consulting capability, and your capacity for agile execution. Additionally, we will look to you to deliver exceptional leadership by enabling strengths across the global team to exceed the expectations of the business while.

Based in Austin, Texas you will report to the Global Director of Talent Acquisition. 

Solutions and Relationships:

  • Build strong rapport and maintain trusted relationships with the business by offering strategic and innovative talent strategies to achieve short-term and long-term talent attraction goals. 
  • Consult with executive leadership on global market and industry data, talent best practices, and internal practices related to workforce planning activities
  • Partner directly with leaders and HR Business Partners to understand business needs. Make talent recommendations - ie where to find skills in the market and what are the right recruiting channels for those targeted profiles
  • Lead design and implementation of talent solutions and bring innovative or differentiated solutions
  • Successfully deliver against performance metrics related to time to fill, cost per hire, recruiter efficiency and other talent KPIs 
  • Proactively provide leadership with applicable data and insights related to recruiting efforts
  • Serve as Talent Acquisition consultant on broader HR function initiatives

Leadership:

    Lead high performing recruiting team by implementing an environment of trust with a focus on continuous development and best practices.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop recruiting team members on core competencies and functional skills, providing career development opportunities 
  • Manage and collaborate with recruiting team members on program design and development and larger scale initiatives 
  • Allocate work across available team and support as needed with volume
  • Partner closely with Talent Brand to identify and participate in networking forums, public events, and other activities that help strengthen the HomeAway employment brand and drive specific solutions for clients
  • Develop and manage content for external website, wiki and other channels that support our culture and our recruiting philosophy
  • Serve as high energy brand & talent advocate for HomeAway, our business, and our culture

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years’ of hands-on recruiting experience in a high tech environment across multiple locations globally 
  • 4+ years’ experience leading a high performing recruiting team
  • Global leadership experience strongly preferred, must have experience driving talent strategies in multiple countries
  • Proven experience developing rapport with executive leadership
  • Strong communication, public presentation and facilitation skills
  • Full life-cycle recruiting from sourcing to onboarding with background in high growth organizations is required
  • Experience developing key recruiting metrics & data and using data to articulate a story and drive solutions 
  • Proficiency in behavioral interviewing methodologies, competency-based techniques, job scorecards, top grading and/or other selection and assessment tools
  • A sense of curiosity resulting in the ability to recognize opportunities within the business, team and overall HR function
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and initiative, with a focus on delivering results
  • Ability to prioritize, stay organized, set clear expectations and drive the process while delivering expert support and results
  • Executive recruiting experience
