In this role, you will work as a member of our product team to develop customer-facing products. You will draw on your thorough knowledge of user-centric design and the UX lifecycle (research, concepting, iterative design, interactive prototyping, and delivery) to help lead the definition and creation of innovative solutions that address customer needs and align them with business goals in a scalable, strategic way.
The Day to Day:
* Self-starter who actively seeks ways to make the WP Engine experience both visually appealing and easy to use
* An understanding of what makes an experience good or bad - you can think through user problems, find reasonable solutions, then mock them up and work with engineers to build them
* An eye for keeping all elements, verbiage, patterns consistent across our products and your designs
* An understanding of the technical limitations and liberties behind your decisions, and the ability to communicate your ideas to engineers
* Bring a strong point of view about user experience and design to influence and strengthen our product strategy
* Independently seek opportunities to improve, in the spirit of one of our core values - to be a place Where the Best Get Better
Your Expertise and Passion:
* 5+ years experience creating and managing user experience design for product development
* Proven track record in designing new products and managing design for existing products
* Experience with rapid ideation via whiteboarding, wireframing, system mapping, and sketching
* Experience designing and prototyping user-focused interactive web applications
* Experience monitoring design strengths and weaknesses after release with analytics and A/B Testing to inform future product iterations and improvements
* Experience working directly with Product Managers to match requirements with design
* Experience working directly with Engineers to turn design and prototypes into releasable product
* Experience working with Engineers and QA to ensure a high level of quality before release
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
