As a Systems Architect at HomeAway, you will apply the latest technologies to develop APIs and integrations with our order management applications, big data platforms, ERP, and CRM systems to proactively deliver high quality sales opportunities, record incentive compensation, and feed insightful analytics. You are someone who sees how all the pieces come together, and can help us find ways to leverage the power of our CRM platform combined with leading edge technology to drive sales conversion and provide an enhanced customer experience. You will partner with all aspects of the organization to deliver enterprise solutions designed to grow the business and increase scale and efficiency.

Our ideal candidate, at a minimum, will be able to:- Evaluate new technologies for inclusion into the environment and the technology roadmap
- Design and document high availability distributed systems
- Mentor, motivate and inspire database and application engineers
- Design repeatable and reusable processes
- Conduct proof of concepts and demonstrations
- Design and document database, application and system integrations
- Influence and document development best practices
- Prepare and deliver presentations to business and IT senior management
- Regularly lead in the technical assessment and delivery of technical solutions
- Participate in infrastructure architecture design in collaboration with IT teams
- Communicate the benefits, costs and tradeoffs of your solutions to top management
- Partner with stakeholders including development managers, engineers, product managers, and business constituents

Preferred Qualifications:- Broad knowledge and application of Open Source technologies and platforms within the enterprise.
- Experience with enterprise application platforms including Oracle EBS or Salesforce.com.
- Experience in CRM, Marketing Automation, Call Center technologies.
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures, API design, distributed systems, SaaS/Cloud, IaaS and PaaS technologies.
- Experience with technologies; SOA Middleware, Oracle, NoSql & SQL Server RDBMS, Java EE, Integration Services, Cassandra, Hadoop, Kafka.
- Possess Strong communication, negotiation, and people skills
