NSS Labs is looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to provide support to the IT infrastructure in our Test Lab. This role isexpected to have excellent time-management and project-management skills with the ability to adapt and prioritize as requirements change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing support for the IT infrastructure in our Test Lab
- Environment build out, system and product installation,
- Writing documentation
- On-call/after-hours work as needed for urgent escalations, and off-peak systems maintenance.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience managing large virtualized environments (Primarily VMware ESXi)
- Creating/Configuring/Troubleshooting Virtual Machines and Templates
- Administration of Virtual Environments, including Permissions & Access
- Configuring Connectivity to Data stores
- Configuring Virtual Networks
- Application and systems analysis of production infrastructure that supports revenue-generating platforms.
- Hands-on experience configuring various server and storage hardware.
- MS Windows and Linux (Primarily CentOS) Deployment & Administration experience in a networked environment including the configuration and support of the following services:
- SMTP/Relay Service, NTP Service, SFTP Service, DNS Service, SMB Service, Syslog Service
- Performance monitoring with various tools including: Solarwinds, Nagios and Zabbix
- Experience with process automation/scripting: PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash Shell
- TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting skills
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
